It's been a minute

Its been a minute since my last post, life has been a lot on the crazy side. I wonder how many times we dont stop long enough to simply just be in the moment of our life. I know for me its something I struggle with daily. I hurry to get the kids around in the morning, then we rush off to school and work, then its home for dinner and homework just to get in bed and start the days all over again. I just wonder how much we miss sometimes by being in such a rush.

I hate that life gets so busy.

I hate that I forget to stop and just breathe.

I wish that I could be more like my dog sometimes. His biggest concern is if the cats will interfere with his nap. I watched him outside today lounging peacefully in the warm afternoon sun and he just looked as if he had no care in the world. His food bowl was full his water spilling over, and his favorite bone was just a few inches from him. His life is just as it should be.
He knew he was taken care of and he decided that in spite of the possibility of the cats invasion of his perfect bubble he would take a few minutes and just catch a quick nap and enjoy the sunshine.

Why oh why hadn't I thought of that.

As for the cats, well we all know how they are and  eventually woke him and his world went right back to normal. But for a few blissful moments he escaped the busy life of keeping the cats and squirrels in order. And wouldn't you know it, his problems were still there.

I guess I should take a lesson from Goose.

The daily problems are always going to be there,  so stop and take a nap.....its all going to be ok, and life will move forward. If by some fantastic miracle they go away on their own well I guess you will be even more blessed.

It's hard work keeping the back yard in tip top shape, but it's also worth taking a minute to relax and feel the sunshine and maybe take a nap, or three, and just enjoy the day.

Thank you dear sweet Goose for showing me it's ok to take a few minutes and just breathe or nap.

This was from our last Hike and I bet he was desperate for a nap then.

No matter what your day had for you, I hope you were able to stop and just enjoy the sunshine and just take a minute.
