So I was doing a little studying about the Holy Spirit and came across a fantastic instance of Saul in the Old Testament, and found myself like... ohhhh snap..... he is straight up Naked, laying in the dirt and prophesying.
Like for real this guy had it out for David.
He tries to kill Him and the Holy Spirit has him doing anything but... You seriously can't get any better then a King naked laying in the dirt when he sets out to kill someone. If you haven't read 1 Samuel you totally should. 1 Samuel 19:18-24!
As if it wasn't bad enough that the messengers he sent, twice mind you, where now prophesying, he their King is now doing just that only naked.
If you want my thoughts, the Holy Spirit is pretty awesome!
I mean, I have read these accounts before but for some reason it is just really sticking out to me tonight.
Just to read how active He was and Is in the lives of God's people. I love it!
He empowers a guy to pick up a dead donkey's jaw bone and kill like 1000 men (Nice job Sampson). Yep I am loving this diving deeper into who the Holy Spirit is!
If you haven't read the Old Testament in a long time, I would say you need to do just that.
